Senior Cloud Test Analyst II
About The Position
DPP is seeking a Senior Cloud Test Analyst II for a six-month W2 contract with a client in the healthcare insurance industry. The position is onsite in Columbia, South Carolina and focuses on testing a portal in the CMS Cloud, built on AWS. The analyst plans and executes test cases, manages test plans and execution in TestRail, logs defects and aligns testing tasks with Agile sprints in JIRA, and maintains test documentation, user stories, and release notes in Confluence. The role validates application behavior in cloud environments, supports compliance testing, and ensures updates meet CMS security and performance standards before deployment. It also includes supportive administrative and lead activities related to cloud testing, as well as collecting and analyzing data for software process evaluation and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Agile testing and CI/CD experience.
- Experience testing cloud-hosted applications.
- Experience identifying, tracking, and managing bugs using TestRail, JIRA/Confluence, or ALM.
- Experience with testing tools such as Selenium Grid, JUnit, TestNG, Apache JMeter, SoapUI, and Postman.
- Strong knowledge of lift-and-shift, re-platforming, or cloud migration testing.
- Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP API testing, SQL, and test automation frameworks.
- Solid understanding of test data strategy, version control, defect triage, and test metrics reporting.
- Experience implementing automated test suites in CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Knowledge of AWS EC2, IAM, S3, RDS/Aurora, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and CodeBuild.
- Experience with security and compliance testing, including HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST-800.
- 508/WCAG compliance testing experience using tools such as Burp Suite/OWASP ZAP and WAVE.
- Medicare experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another job-related field; or four years of job-related work experience; or two years of job-related experience plus an associate’s degree in a related field.
- Nine years of IT experience, including experience developing test plans and/or test matrices.
- Adaptability and flexibility to adjust test plans to new requirements or sprint changes and learn new tools or cloud environments.
- Authorized to work in the United States; the employer is unable to sponsor at this time.
Nice To Haves
- Understanding of DevOps practices and experience helping manage cloud-based analytics pipelines and deployments.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, version control, automated testing, and deployment of workflows.
- Experience with AWS DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, Step Functions, and Artifact.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute test cases for a portal within the CMS Cloud, built on AWS.
- Use TestRail to manage test plans, track execution, and document results.
- Use JIRA to log defects and align testing tasks with Agile sprints.
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts in daily stand-ups.
- Use Confluence to maintain test documentation, user stories, and release notes.
- Validate application behavior in cloud environments and support compliance testing.
- Ensure updates meet CMS security and performance standards before deployment.
- Complete supportive administrative and lead activities related to cloud testing.
- Collect and analyze data for software process evaluation and continuous improvement.
- Design, develop, and execute test strategies, test cases, and automated scripts for cloud-native, containerized, and legacy applications migrated to AWS.
- Lead functional, regression, integration, system, failover, and performance testing across multi-tier AWS Cloud environments.
- Implement automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
