About The Position

Altruist is in the midst of an exciting phase and we’re excited to hire a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to secure our multi-account AWS and Kubernetes environment. You’ll build the guardrails and controls that keep our cloud platform hardened as we grow. This role follows a hybrid schedule, with three days per week onsite in our San Francisco FiDi or Culver City office.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in cloud security engineering
Hands-on securing AWS (IAM, org/SCPs, KMS, networking)
Kubernetes / EKS security experience
Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and CSPM tooling (e.g., Wiz)
Comfort scripting and automating (e.g., Python / Go)
A B.A. / B.S. degree in relevant fields such as Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Information Security or relevant experience
Technologically savvy and can easily get up to speed on modern tech stacks (i.e., AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, etc.)

Harden our AWS environment
Build cloud guardrails as code
Own cloud vulnerability and exposure management
Partner with Detection & Response on investigations for cloud-origin events.
