About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Cloud & Platform Engineer to join a highly technical infrastructure team responsible for complex, production-grade cloud environments. This is not simply an operational cloud role. You will be expected to understand the existing environment, identify weaknesses and opportunities for improvement, and actively contribute ideas around cloud architecture, Kubernetes, automation, reliability and security. The role also includes a customer-facing dimension. You should be comfortable discussing technical topics with customers when required, explaining infrastructure decisions clearly and representing the engineering team in technical conversations. The environment is primarily AWS and Kubernetes, with a strong Infrastructure-as-Code and automation focus.

Requirements

  • Senior-level experience in Cloud, Platform, DevOps, Infrastructure or Site Reliability Engineering.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with AWS, including a broad understanding of AWS architecture and best practices.
  • Ability to evaluate an existing AWS environment and independently recommend architectural, reliability, automation or security improvements.
  • Advanced production Kubernetes experience is essential.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience with infrastructure and configuration automation; Ansible is highly relevant.
  • Strong understanding of production infrastructure, scalability, availability and reliability principles.
  • Experience with monitoring, observability and troubleshooting distributed production environments.
  • Understanding of cloud and infrastructure security best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD and modern cloud-native delivery practices.
  • Scripting or programming ability for infrastructure automation; deep software engineering expertise is not required.
  • Experience responding to production issues and conducting structured root-cause analysis.
  • Ability to take ownership, identify weaknesses and proactively introduce improvements rather than simply maintain existing systems.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence participating in customer-facing technical discussions.
  • Professional working proficiency in English (C1+)

Responsibilities

  • Design, operate and continuously improve production cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS.
  • Assess existing cloud environments, identify architectural or operational weaknesses and propose practical improvements.
  • Work extensively with Kubernetes in production environments, contributing to platform architecture, reliability and scalability.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and other Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
  • Develop and improve infrastructure automation, including configuration management using tools such as Ansible.
  • Strengthen platform reliability, resilience, observability and security.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual operational work through automation.
  • Contribute to cloud and Kubernetes architecture decisions and introduce relevant engineering best practices.
  • Support troubleshooting, incident investigation and root-cause analysis across production environments.
  • Develop scripts and internal automation using languages such as Python, Bash, Java or similar where appropriate.
  • Participate in technical discussions with customers, translating requirements and infrastructure topics into clear technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure infrastructure and reliability considerations are incorporated throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Share knowledge, challenge existing approaches constructively and help raise engineering standards across the team.

Benefits

  • Fully remote position.
  • Full-time collaboration.
  • Opportunity to work on complex, production-grade cloud and Kubernetes environments.
  • High level of technical ownership and autonomy.
  • Direct influence over cloud architecture, automation and platform improvements.
  • Opportunity to introduce new technologies, practices and engineering standards.
  • International engineering environment.
  • Exposure to both internal platform engineering and customer-facing technical challenges.
