About The Position

The Senior Cloud Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, implementing, and supporting the corporate network and infrastructure. This role involves analyzing, coordinating, and building network infrastructures across public clouds and hybrid environments, with a focus on native toolsets for cloud designs in Azure and GCP. The engineer will also work with vendor technologies like Cisco, Palo Alto, and Meraki for complex multi-cloud BGP implementations, and configure/deploy wired, wireless, and SD-WAN solutions. A key aspect of the role is developing and maintaining network automation scripts using tools like Terraform, and configuring dynamic routing protocols such as BGP. The position requires performing site surveys, capacity planning, and troubleshooting complex network issues. The engineer will design highly-available solutions and apply knowledge of various networking technologies including LAN, WAN, Network Security, Cloud, ISP, SD-WAN, VPN, Firewalls, Azure, GCP, BGP, and AWS. Additionally, implementing quality of service (QoS) configurations is part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years in the position above, as a Network Engineer, as a Lead Network Engineer, as a Sr. Network Engineer, or in a related occupation
  • Four (4) years use of all the following: LAN, WAN, Network Security, Cloud, network infrastructure, ISP, SD-WAN, VPN, Firewalls, network security appliances, Azure, GCP, BGP, and AWS

Responsibilities

  • Designing, planning, implementing and supporting the corporate network and infrastructure
  • Analyze, coordinate and build network infrastructures across public clouds and hybrid environments
  • Design, implement, and coordinate network technologies, focusing on native toolsets for cloud designs across Azure and GCP
  • Engineer network solutions utilizing vendors including Cisco, Palo Alto, and Meraki for complex multi-cloud BGP implementations
  • Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot wired, wireless, and SD-WAN network solutions for enterprise environments across multi-vendor platforms, ensuring performance, scalability, and security
  • Develop and maintain network automation scripts using Terraform and similar tools to streamline configuration and management tasks
  • Configure and maintain dynamic routing protocols, including BGP, across multi-cloud and multi-datacenter environments for efficient and resilient network operations
  • Perform site surveys and capacity planning for wired, wireless, and SD-WAN networks, ensuring alignment with business requirements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues related to wired, wireless, SD-WAN, routing, and VPN
  • Design and configure highly-available solutions utilizing circuits, cross-connects, VPN, clouds, regions, and hardware
  • Utilize and apply knowledge of LAN, WAN, Network Security, Cloud, network infrastructure, ISP, SD-WAN, VPN, Firewalls, network security appliances, Azure, GCP, BGP, and AWS to perform assigned tasks
  • Implement quality of service (QoS) configurations to prioritize traffic and ensure critical application performance throughout enterprise network
