Senior Cloud Engineer
About The Position
The Senior Cloud Engineer will be responsible for provisioning and administering approved cloud resources, platform services, and access configurations. This role involves monitoring workloads, performance, availability, and utilization, and responding to operational events. The engineer will apply approved security baselines, identity controls, tagging, logging, and configuration standards. Support for hybrid connectivity and dependencies with on-premises infrastructure, networks, and applications is also a key part of the role. Additionally, the position requires providing cost, utilization, and optimization analysis, maintaining cloud inventories, diagrams, procedures, configuration records, and recovery documentation. The engineer will support incident, problem, and change management, contributing to root-cause analysis, and assist with TDRA-hosted or other approved environments.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant cloud engineering and administration experience.
- Strong practical experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of cloud networking, identity, monitoring, security configuration, backup and cost management.
- Experience working through controlled privileged-access and change-management procedures.
Nice To Haves
- Azure Administrator/Architect or AWS Solutions Architect certification preferred.
