The Senior Cloud Engineer is a hands-on engineer who builds and maintains Greystar's modern cloud infrastructure, following Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and landing zone patterns established by cloud platform leadership. This is first and foremost a cloud infrastructure engineering role: standing up and operating subscriptions, PaaS resources, and IaC-driven environments within the landing zone model - networking, identity, and data platform infrastructure are core supporting pieces of that work, not the whole of it. You will partner closely with the Data, Digital, and AI (D2AI) team on the infrastructure that supports their analytics and AI/ML workloads, including the Databricks data plane. The ideal candidate has solid, provable hands-on experience building and operating cloud infrastructure within a landing zone/CAF model - PaaS services, Infrastructure as Code, private networking, and data platform infrastructure. You bring real production experience, not just design familiarity, and you're comfortable working from established patterns while contributing improvements back to them. This is an individual contributor role. There is no formal management responsibility, though you'll be expected to share knowledge with and support the growth of less experienced engineers on the team.
