About The Position

We’re looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our fully remote engineering team and take ownership of a large-scale cloud platform. In this role, you’ll design, operate, and optimize production infrastructure while driving automation, scalability, reliability, and security across mission-critical environments. You’ll work closely with engineering and product teams, lead infrastructure improvements, and play a key role in shaping cloud architecture and operational best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS in production environments.
  • Experience managing Kubernetes or Docker Swarm clusters.
  • Advanced scripting skills in Bash and Python.
  • Proven experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tooling, including GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
  • Experience with Ansible or other configuration management tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience supporting production infrastructure.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure.
  • Linux systems administration expertise.
  • Knowledge of cloud security services and best practices.
  • Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, or other database technologies.
  • Exposure to MLOps platforms such as Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, AWS ParallelCluster, or Kubeflow.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS, with Azure as a secondary platform.
  • Operate and optimize production Kubernetes and container orchestration environments.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources.
  • Build automation tools and operational scripts using Bash and Python.
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, Jenkins, and/or ArgoCD.
  • Lead initiatives to improve platform performance, scalability, resilience, and security.
  • Monitor production systems, troubleshoot complex incidents, and participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable cloud solutions and improve deployment processes.
  • Evaluate and introduce new cloud technologies and engineering practices that enhance operational efficiency.
