About The Position

Young Life's mission is to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. This role is for a Senior Cloud Engineer focusing on Google Workspace. The engineer will serve as a subject matter expert, providing coaching and guidance to colleagues to enhance team performance and development. The position involves developing and implementing Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, roles, and access controls in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), architecting scalable and secure IAM solutions, and integrating these solutions with various applications. The role also includes managing user identities, entitlements, and access permissions across multiple platforms, monitoring IAM systems for security and compliance, conducting audits, and automating IAM processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Additionally, the engineer will implement Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical support, and stay updated on IAM trends and security threats. Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus in IAM
  • Proven experience with IAM solutions in AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Hands-on experience with IAM tools and technologies such as AWS IAM, Azure AD, Google Cloud IAM, Okta, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a subject matter expert within the team, and will provide coaching, guidance and support to colleagues to enhance team performance and development.
  • Develop and implement IAM policies, roles, and access controls in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Architect scalable and secure IAM solutions to manage user identities and permissions
  • Integrate IAM solutions with on-premises and cloud-based applications
  • Manage user identities, entitlements and access permissions across multiple cloud and on-premise platforms
  • Monitor IAM systems for security incidents, performance issues, and compliance violations
  • Conduct audits and reviews of IAM policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Automate IAM processes using IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation or ARM templates
  • Implement Single Sign-On (SSO) , Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and other IAM solutions to enhance security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IAM solutions into new and existing projects.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams on IAM-related issues and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest IAM trends, technologies and security threats to proactively address potential risk
