Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer
About The Position
A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a senior level Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC. This role involves providing infrastructure and engineering support for Cloud applications hosted in FAA Cloud Services, potentially operating on Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure clouds supported by the FAA. The engineer will be responsible for leading the creation and maintenance of development, test, and production environments with a focus on high availability, fault-tolerance, and scalability. A key aspect of the role is implementing continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) to accelerate development and reduce manual effort. As a Senior Engineer, you will be considered a subject matter expert and may lead individuals assisting in the work.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent field.
- 10 years of related experience.
- 3+ years in cloud engineering support.
- Proficiency in Terraform and/or Ansible.
- US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US.
- Must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance.
- Must be either a US citizen or a current green card holder with the last 3 consecutive years as a resident of the US.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Terraform/Ansible is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Work independently or as a team member to provide infrastructure and engineering support for Cloud applications hosted in FAA Cloud Services.
- Operate on Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure clouds supported by FAA.
- Be proficient in Terraform and/or Ansible to support cloud systems in Microsoft and Linux environments.
- Lead the team in the creation and maintenance of development, test and production environments with a goal of high availability, fault-tolerance and scalability.
- Implement continuous integration and deployment of code to cloud hosted environments to accelerate development and reduce manual effort.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and potentially lead individuals assisting in the work.
