About The Position

This is a long-term project for a Statement of Work (SOW) as a Senior Cloud Developer specializing in AWS Lambda, API development, and Terraform. The role requires a strong Python background, ideally transitioning from Java development, with extensive knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, Terraform, API Development, Cloudwatch, Step Functions, and Kafka. A solid foundation in cloud technologies and system design is essential. The position is remote within the USA, with a preference for candidates in the Central or Eastern Standard Time zones, particularly the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Occasional travel to Dallas for onsite work may be required, potentially quarterly.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering experience (U.S. based).
• Strong Python experience, with a background in Java development.
• Knowledge of AWS services (Lambda, Cloudwatch, Step Functions).
• Experience with Terraform.
• Experience with API Development.
• Knowledge of Kafka.
• System Design knowledge.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Consistent communication skills.
• Ability to follow through on tasks.

Nice To Haves

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional preferred).

Responsibilities
