About The Position

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Senior Cloud Developer to support our Huntsville, AL location. This role is responsible for developing cloud service delivery models and architectural frameworks to enable various as-a-service offerings (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, DaaS). The developer will implement automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps best practices, analyze applications to recommend cloud migration and deployment strategies, and provide strategies for failure/recovery, cost optimization, and benefit analyses of cloud and on-premise services. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing cloud applications, migrating existing on-premises applications to the cloud, debugging cloud stacks, managing cloud service policies, handling requests for new technology, establishing secure cloud environments, and ensuring appropriate availability/uptime design. The role also involves independently designing and developing new software products or significant enhancements to existing cloud software.

Requirements

8+ years of experience
Experience with ETL Processes
Experience with Splunk, SQL based platforms, and python
Experience with AWS and/or Azure
Must be a U.S. Citizen
An active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required to perform this work.
Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Responsibilities

Developing the cloud service delivery models and architectural framework to enable platform as a service (PaaS), infrastructure as a service (IaaS), software as a service (SaaS), and data as a service (DaaS).
Implementing automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps best practices.
Analyzing applications and making recommendations across multiple areas that identify what platforms can move, migrate, and/or be deployed into a cloud environment.
Providing strategies for failure/recovery, cost optimization and benefit analyses of cloud, cloud agnostic, and on-site premise services.
Developing and implementing cloud applications.
Migrating existing on-premises applications to the cloud.
Debugging cloud stacks.
Managing policies for the use of cloud services.
Handling requests for new technology.
Establishing a secure cloud environment.
Ensuring appropriate availability/uptime design.
Independently designing and developing new software products or major enhancements to existing cloud software.
