About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Architect to lead the migration of applications and data from a closed, restricted network into a secure cloud environment. This role will assess cloud service options, design the target infrastructure, establish secure connectivity, support compliance activities, and execute the final cloud migration.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance; Top Secret clearance preferred.
  • Security+ CE certification.
  • Relevant environment training certification.
  • Five or more years of system administration experience.
  • Three to five years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting cloud solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, and Software as a Service.
  • Experience with cloud migration, infrastructure design, security, connectivity, and application integration.
  • Knowledge of DISA requirements, RMF, eMASS, ATO, and federal cybersecurity standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop technical artifacts using Microsoft Visio and Microsoft 365 applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing multiple cloud environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience supporting secure or restricted government cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud governance, security architecture, identity management, and compliance controls.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate Cloud Service Providers, cloud environments, and service options for migrating six applications, models, and associated data from SNET.
  • Develop cloud migration strategies, technical architectures, implementation plans, and supporting documentation.
  • Support DISA registration and Cyber Security Service Provider assessment activities as a subject-matter expert.
  • Design and establish secure cloud connectivity to required external data sources and applications.
  • Conduct security analysis, network planning, and cloud integration assessments.
  • Design, configure, and establish scalable cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Support the Authority to Operate process, including Risk Management Framework activities.
  • Develop and maintain the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service package.
  • Prepare security, architecture, compliance, and accreditation artifacts for Authorizing Official approval.
  • Coordinate application testing, validation, accreditation, and migration readiness activities.
  • Execute the final cloud cutover after infrastructure and application accreditation.
  • Create technical diagrams, reports, presentations, and architecture artifacts using Visio and Microsoft 365 tools.
