About The Position

The Senior Cloud Application Architect will work closely with the Delta Chief Architect to define the overall system design and future state, ensuring the system is scalable, secure, and performs well. This role involves clarifying system integrations, ensuring data integrity, and developing a robust, config-driven architecture. The architect will identify and manage dependencies and risks, oversee system interface reliability, and ensure designs are production-ready.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the Delta Chief Architect to agree on system design.
Ensure alignment on architecture, data, and integrations.
Define the overall system design and future state.
Ensure the system is scalable, secure, and performs well.
Clarify how different systems communicate (APIs, messaging, batch) for each Epic.
Ensure data structure and database design are correct.
Define a clean relational data model.
Develop a config-driven architecture.
Identify and manage dependencies (upstream and downstream systems) and risks early.
Ensure all system interfaces exchange data reliably, securely, and without errors.
Ensure design is ready before development starts.
Review designs to ensure teams are building the right solution.
Help resolve technical issues and design conflicts.
Support teams during development and guide them when needed.
Ensure the system is ready for production with respect to scalability, security, multi-tenancy, and deployment.
