About The Position

The Senior Clinical Therapist at the Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI) STRIVE program will provide direct clinical services such as diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention to patients using evidence-based interventions. Direct and indirect clinical services are provided in the office or at the provider's assigned school. This position will also provide support for Six Bridges, an adolescent substance use treatment program. The Senior Clinical Therapist works directly under the supervision of the Clinical Therapist Supervisor, Program Manager, and/or Clinic Medical Director. The Senior Clinical Therapist must have the ability to make decisions related to treatment planning. They must understand mental health diagnosis and treatment. Adaptable technological skills are required.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work required.
  • Licensed by the Arkansas Professional Board - Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provides and appropriately documents direct clinical services. These include, but are not limited to, diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, collateral intervention, and crisis intervention.
  • Completes clinical and administrative processes and documentation in compliance with Medicaid, insurance, Joint Commission, program, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Complies with all legal and professional standards and/or guidelines, such as mandatory reporting, maintenance of professional licensure in accordance with state licensing boards, and ensuring compliance with best practices through continuing education and clinical supervision.
  • Works with administrative support and utilization management staff as needed to facilitate scheduling, prior and continuing review authorization of services, and transfer/referral of clients to other programs or providers as needed.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled and as-needed departmental and program staff meetings, training, and supervision.
  • Participates in continuing education activities as required to maintain professional licensure and/or certification.
  • Conduct phone calls with patients or insurance companies, write letters to patients on behalf of the Medical Director(s) or other clinical staff, assisting in the discharge process of patients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
