About The Position

This position is in GE Healthcare's MIM Software business, which develops vendor-neutral imaging software to standardize workflow and simplify complex clinical scenarios. MIM® software is used by leading global healthcare organizations to provide more precise, personalized patient care. The role involves activities contributing to the design and development of products and their interaction with the human body, impacting departmental operations and requiring planning and execution. The position has some autonomy but focuses on executing activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures, with judgment typically guided.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college required.
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of experience in a clinical, academic or research setting may be considered.
  • Experience and familiarity with clinical and anatomical knowledge bases, as well as clinical environments and academic and/or research collaborations.
  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with clinical professionals, as well as a variety of internal multidisciplinary teams.
  • Willing to travel periodically to attend medical conferences.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree and/or PhD preferred but not required.
  • Clinical domain expertise with Nuclear Medicine research and study designs in a clinical, academic, or industrial setting is preferred but not required.
  • Proficient programming and/or algorithmic development experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform activities supporting the clinical research and development of imaging products/drug products/diagnostics.
  • Determine the safety & effectiveness of medications, devices, diagnostic products and treatments.
  • Closely connect with MIM product teams, explore unmet clinical and technical needs with external collaborators, identify new research needs and generate clinical evidence.
  • Work with physicians, scientists and key opinion leaders in the clinical and academic setting to gain/maintain deep understanding of the field of Nuclear Medicine and innovation needs.
  • Propose and prioritize collaborative research and scientific activities in-support of strategic initiatives.
  • Support collaborative academic and clinical partners in clinical research with emphasis on assigned key academic and clinical sites in the field of Nuclear Medicine.
  • Seek out, develop, and maintain academic partners and understand their strengths and collaboration interests.
  • Work with collaborators and product teams to solicit investigator-initiated research proposals.
