About The Position

The Senior Application Systems Analyst supports the IT Inpatient System. This role acts independently under general supervision, requiring minimal instruction and guidance. The analyst supports system applications, primarily Epic ClinDoc and CPOE, demonstrating a high level of proficiency and expertise on software functionality and integration. Responsibilities include building system components, testing, implementation support, and maintenance of assigned system applications. The role involves performing in-depth analysis, troubleshooting, data collection, and root cause analysis to identify and/or implement potential solutions for system or usage issues. The analyst will analyze/review and test each product release, communicating needed changes to operations, and must be able to document and follow system change control procedures. This position works closely with other analysts, software vendors, and operations to ensure system integrity and that IT deliverables meet operational business needs. The role also involves researching, analyzing, facilitating, and implementing business and system workflows to expedite process improvement and coordinate business practices, identifying best practices, and implementing opportunities for standardization. Preparing activity and other reports as necessary, providing guidance and mentoring to more junior analysts, and attaining necessary certifications are also key functions. The position provides On-Call support for the application.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED plus nine (9) years of IT experience or clinical/operational experience, or any combination of the two, or Associate degree in a Clinical, Healthcare, Business, IT, or related field plus seven (7) years of IT experience or clinical/operational experience, or any combination of the two, or Bachelor’s degree in a Clinical, Healthcare, Business, IT, or related field plus five (5) years of IT experience or clinical/operational experience, or any combination of the two, or Post Graduate degree in a Clinical, Healthcare, Business, IT, or related field, plus three (3) year of IT experience or clinical/operational experience, or any combination of the two required.
  • In accordance with IT Epic Certification Policy, must be certified in the following applications or obtain certification within 90 days (per application) of the date of the last required class to be eligible for certification. Epic ClinDoc, CPOE, ASAP or Lumens
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
