About The Position

This is a hybrid position that requires residing in the Los Angeles area to meet with clients in-person as needed but otherwise can allow for working remotely from home and/or in our Santa Monica office if desired. Reporting to the Senior Client Services Director, Partnerships & Business Development, the Senior Client Services Manager leads Official Grammy Awards partners and year-round sponsors of the Recording Academy through the execution of all contractually obligated deliverables while upholding the integrity, values, and reputation of the Recording Academy. Deliverables range from hospitality programs, IRL experiential opportunities at Academy events, social media activations, marketing campaigns, content development and publishing, IP usage, and much more. Playing a supporting role in the business development process, you will also identify opportunities to expand on existing partner commitments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or relevant field.
  • 8+ years in a client-facing role managing complex 7-figure partnerships across events and digital channels with a focus on music, sports and/or entertainment properties.
  • 6+ years of experience with brand marketing, event production, and experiential activations.
  • 4+ years of recent experience with earned/paid marketing and social media, including working with influencers and content creators.
  • Exceptional project management skills with a proven track record of managing complex projects and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Significant experience in reviewing and adhering to deliverables and parameters outlined in contracts.
  • High attention to detail with the capability to multi-task and manage multiple sponsorship activities at once.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office with advance level experience with PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills with poise and presence.
  • Ability to stay positive and confident in a fast-paced environment while solving problems in real time.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and safeguard confidential information.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working for a top-tier agency highly preferred.
  • Experience using AI (e.g. MS Copilot, Claude Cowork) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day-to-day Client Services lead for 5+ Grammy Awards and Recording Academy partners to execute client programs, activations and deliverables.
  • Work with Grammy U team to lead client services of all partners affiliated with the program and its tentpole events
  • Lead planning meetings with partners throughout Grammy Season and for off-season programs, creating agendas, meeting recaps and all necessary documentation associated with project management.
  • Develop, oversee and execute project plans and workback schedules to meet key deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Digital Media, Event Production, Media Productions, Communications, Marketing, Creative Services, etc.) to execute client programs and deliverables.
  • Work with partners and their agencies to ideate and advance experiential activations, media campaigns, IP usage, and more
  • Oversee budget tracking for partner programs and activations to ensure they stay within budget, reducing costs where possible.
  • Manage the allocation and distribution of in-kind product donations in collaboration with Event Leads.
  • Review term sheets and contracts to ensure that all deliverables are being tracked within the parameters of the partnership.
  • Identify and manage external vendor relationships.
  • Supervise temporary seasonal staff as needed
  • Conduct site visits and lead production tours with 30+ attendees made up of partners, guests, agency teams, and vendors from all levels of organizations.
  • Lead the creation and completion of partner recap PPT decks in collaboration with the Sales, Marketing, and Business Intelligence teams.
  • Arrange and lead post-mortem discussions to report on partnership successes and areas of improvement.
  • Create partner resource documents and guides to keep them informed throughout Grammy Season.
  • Work with the Sales team to identify opportunities to expand the commitment levels of current partners.
  • Stay updated with current trends in brand partnerships, sponsorship activations, and client service best practices.
  • Special projects as assigned.
