About The Position

The Sr. Client Service Associate (Sr. CSA) provides support to Agriculture Commercial Bank's Sr. Client Relationship Managers, assisting with client requirements and new requests. This involves coordinating with internal partners and directly engaging clients for various activities such as resolving escalated issues, processing financial reporting, fulfilling funding needs, and onboarding new clients. The role is specifically focused on servicing the Agriculture Commercial Banking Distribution. The Sr. CSA contributes to the overall success of the Agriculture Commercial Bank in Canada by executing individual goals and plans in alignment with team business strategies and objectives. All activities must comply with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. The role champions a customer-focused culture to strengthen client relationships and leverage the Bank's broader network, systems, and knowledge. The Sr. CSA is responsible for providing services to a portfolio of existing and prospective clients, including onboarding, resolving service escalations, managing credit-related tasks, and ensuring fulfillment of loan funding and account openings. They also identify opportunities to enhance client needs through referrals and process improvement suggestions, while understanding and adhering to the Bank's risk appetite and culture. The Sr. CSA actively pursues efficient operations and ensures compliance with risk management frameworks and guidelines.

Requirements

  • College/University degree with Finance, Accounting or Other Business Specialty background, or equivalent work experience.
  • Commitment to participate in other training requirements as determined by the Bank.
  • Strong commitment to excellent client service and ability to work with clients to resolve issues amicably and promptly.
  • Strong organizational skills to coordinate and prioritize concurrent requests from different Relationship Managers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to obtain agreements within Commercial Banking and partners.
  • Strong written and verbal skills with proven ability to engage stakeholders and clients.
  • Strong knowledge of Onboarding, Know Your Customer, Anti Money Laundering processes.
  • Good knowledge of Financial Statements and credit analysis.
  • Good knowledge of credit structures and applicable risk management.
  • Good knowledge of fulfilment processes and roles of partners.
  • Good knowledge of the Commercial Banking Distribution structure as well as role of other groups within Commercial Banking.
  • Thorough knowledge of the applicable software and technology platforms for Commercial (e.g., Salesforce, Intralink, Teams).
  • Good knowledge of the features and benefits of Commercial products and services.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (in particular Excel).
  • A high degree of flexibility to adapt to a wide variety of tasks.
  • Strong commitment to accuracy, customer focus and results focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Good knowledge of Commercial Banking partners and their involvement in servicing clients. In particular knowledge of the Business Service Center, Enhanced Due Diligence Team and Cash Management teams is important.

Responsibilities

  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Support the collection of information for client onboarding to assess risk profiles and ensure regulatory compliance (KYC, AML).
  • Help resolve client service-related matters escalated to the Sr. Client Relationship Manager.
  • Contact clients for financial reporting, spread Financial Statements, Projections and Borrowing bases, review results, and escalate any signs of deterioration.
  • Commence preparation of Credit Presentations and assist with the completion of conditions precedent, diligence, and other requirements for approvals.
  • Ensure client files are complete and appropriately documented in various systems.
  • Provide general support in the annual review process and other credit-related situations to maintain portfolio quality.
  • Coordinate efforts with clients and internal partners to ensure loan funding and business account openings are fulfilled.
  • Provide status updates on fulfillment, KYC, AML onboarding, and service requests, escalating delays with resolution plans.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client needs by providing referrals for ancillary products and partner opportunities.
  • Suggest process improvements based on client feedback or satisfaction surveys.
  • Understand and apply the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in daily activities and decisions.
  • Ensure effective and efficient operations and adherence to business controls for operational risk, regulatory compliance, AML/ATF, and conduct risk.
