About The Position

The Senior Client Manager (Large Group) is a key role at C3, responsible for managing client relationships, ensuring satisfaction, and overseeing the seamless execution of marketing, placement, and policy delivery for new and renewal accounts. This role requires a proactive individual with exceptional client service, organizational, and communication skills, who can anticipate obstacles, manage expectations, and provide technical expertise. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, proficient with technology, and possesses an active Life & Health license. While a college degree is not required, it is preferred, and an insurance designation is a plus. The role also involves training other team members and supporting new business acquisition.

Requirements

  • Over 5 years of expertise and experience.
  • Skilled at ensuring the seamless execution of new and renewal marketing, placement, and policy delivery.
  • Proactive in anticipating potential obstacles and preventing them.
  • Exceptional at managing expectations and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Outstanding ability to service accounts with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Math proficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills, including presenting renewals and delivering open enrollment presentations.
  • Ability to provide non-technical explanations of technical matters.
  • Ability to summarize and present information clearly, concisely, and accurately.
  • Able to provide technical expertise, industry knowledge, and excellent client service skills.
  • Quick learner and comfortable with technology.
  • Active Life & Health license.
  • Willingness to step up and take on new duties when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Respond to and resolve routine client issues regarding benefit services and coverage questions.
  • Collaborate with Client Service Executives on complex accounts for strategic planning, marketing, and identifying opportunities.
  • Work with General Agent partners on smaller clients using available resources.
  • Conduct or oversee marketing efforts, negotiate rates, and review quotes and coverages.
  • Prepare and review renewals, proposals, and open enrollment materials for accuracy and compliance.
  • Work closely with carrier representatives to ensure smooth implementation of new plans.
  • Review policies, contracts, EOCs, and summaries for accuracy and timely distribution.
  • Keep clients in compliance by preparing required documents, filing 5500s, and completing reporting/testing.
  • Conduct employee open enrollment meetings to communicate benefit options.
  • Maintain client files in C3's Applied Epic agency management system.
  • Audit invoices post-renewal to ensure accuracy.
  • Support producers in securing new business.
  • Train other team members and share expertise.
