About The Position

Ameren Missouri has been providing electric and gas service for more than 100 years, and our electric rates are among the lowest in the nation. Ameren Missouri's mission is to power the quality of life for our 1.2 million electric and 132,000 natural gas customers in central and eastern Missouri. Our service area covers 64 counties and more than 500 communities including the greater St. Louis area As assigned by management, under indirect and intermittent supervision, to do clerical work of adifficult and complex nature requiring the use of independent judgment and responsibility; to assist in training new and present employees and assigning and checking work; and to perform similar and less skilled work as required, including but not limited to the following typical activities, as assigned or as requested:

Requirements

• Graduation from high school or the equivalent.
• Experience of one year as a Senior Stenographer or equivalent clerical experience, or three years’ experience outside the Company in a similar capacity.
• Must earn a recommended score on the SASS BCAB and the SASS Typing test, or equivalent testing tool, as selected by the company.
• Demonstrated ability to perform clerical work of considerable difficulty with speed and accuracy.
• Be pleasant, courteous, dependable and tactful.
• Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Type or transcribe, set up, format, and perform complex editing, composing and merging on difficult, technical and official documents, correspondence, reports, records, memorandums, and complex financial and statistical reports and statements
• Tabulate, compute and prepare data relating to the more difficult department work and summarize in prescribed report or record form
• Maintain special and follow up files.
• Prepare orders and requisitions.
• Receive and relay telephone inquiries, direct callers and in some cases arrange for interviews.
• Serve as Records Custodian by administering the Records Management Policy and Procedure.
• Maintain stationary supplies for the location.
• Prepare Bills of Material and Work Orders.
• Maintain location Web Page where applicable.
• Prepare presentations.
• Operate, maintain and arrange repair of office equipment.
• Arrange conferences, meetings and travel reservations for office personnel.
• Conduct research.
• Maintain databases.
• Time reporting and overtime equalization.
• For holding as confidential information obtained in connection with duties and relating to Company’s business or personnel, as per the Corporate Compliance Policy and supervisory instruction.
• With personnel at all levels of the organization, in addition to nonemployees as well.
