About The Position

RESPEC seeks a Senior Civil Project Manager located in our Fort Myers or Sarasota, FL, location. This role involves all aspects of managing residential and commercial land development projects, including contracts, budgets, design, workload, and permitting. The ideal candidate will have a BS in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related engineering field, a Professional Engineering (PE) license in Florida (or the ability to obtain/transfer within 1 year), and approximately 10+ years of experience. Experience in contract administration, permitting, earthwork, site grading, utilities, stormwater management, roadway design, hydrology and hydraulic calculations, and utility design is required. Familiarity with local market development and design processes, as well as proficiency with AutoCAD and various hydrology/hydraulics software (StormCAD, WaterCAD, ICPR, or similar), is also necessary.

Requirements

  • BS in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related engineering field
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license in Florida, or the ability to obtain or transfer license within 1 year of start date
  • Approximately 10+ years of experience
  • Experience in contract administration, permitting, earthwork, site grading, utilities, stormwater management, roadway design, hydrology and hydraulic calculations, and utility design
  • Familiarity with development and design processes that are specific to local geographic markets
  • Experience with AutoCAD and various hydrology/hydraulics software, including StormCAD, WaterCAD, ICPR, or similar software packages

Responsibilities

  • Providing oversight on various construction projects and working with construction inspectors
  • Developing and producing conceptual, preliminary, and final construction design drawings
  • Assisting with the preparation of construction plans, detail drawings, and project specifications
  • Reviewing construction plans, performing horizontal and vertical roadway alignment calculations, and conducting utility research and coordination
  • Assisting with permitting submittments
  • Performing quantity calculations and completing engineering cost opinions
