About The Position

DCI Engineers is seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager in our Missoula, MT office. You’ll apply your civil engineering degree and hands-on experience to lead complex building projects, mentor junior engineers, collaborate across teams, and develop lasting client relationships.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of civil engineering experience.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience leading and mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with BIM Designers.
  • Desire to build strong client relationships and provide excellent service.
  • Effective communication skills with clients, contractors, and project teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to market yourself and DCI to new and existing clients.
  • Proven client relationship skills with the ability to support business development and pursuit of new work.
  • Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university.
  • PE license required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead site development and civil engineering projects.
  • Develop, coordinate, and direct the production of engineering project documents.
  • Prepare fee proposals and contracts.
  • Develop workload and scheduling projections for project staff.
  • Oversee and perform site development design: grading, drainage, sewer, water, erosion control, and road design (including profile layouts).
  • Perform or oversee construction support services.
  • Review submittals, prepare technical reports, perform routine conveyance calculations, and write observation reports.
  • Collaborate with engineers and drafting teams to coordinate design details and construction document requirements.
  • Review completed drafting and communicate with contractors during construction.
  • Evaluate additional service requests, review billing, and coordinate permit responses and construction support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to support repeat work and client satisfaction.
  • Support marketing and business development efforts by representing DCI to new and existing clients.
