SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER - BURLINGTON, WI
About The Position

Lynch & Associates - Engineering Consultants, LLC is a growing multidisciplinary consulting firm with offices in Burlington and New Berlin, Wisconsin. We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer who is ready to work independently, guide less-experienced staff, and contribute across site civil, municipal, transportation, surveying, and construction-related projects. This position is based in our Burlington office and works collaboratively with project teams across both Lynch & Associates locations. Occasional travel to our New Berlin office and project sites may be required.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant civil engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Hands-on AutoCAD Civil 3D experience supporting civil design projects.
- Ability to work independently while providing guidance to less-experienced staff.
- Strong communication skills for working with project teams, clients, peers, and agencies.
- Ability to provide overtime when needed to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to meet Lynch & Associates' automotive-insurability requirements for business driving.
- Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.; Lynch is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
Nice To Haves
- Passed FE exam or EIT registration preferred.
- Participation in a professional organization preferred.
Responsibilities
- Complete civil engineering and surveying-related tasks assigned by Project Engineers and Project Managers, while working independently with minimal oversight.
- Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to prepare surveys, site plans, grading plans, utility plans, construction layout, and staking information.
- Design site civil, municipal, and transportation projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software.
- Prepare reports and permits for site civil, transportation, and municipal projects.
- Perform construction observation and field services as requested.
- Provide guidance to less-experienced staff and direct staff on project-specific tasks.
- Support proposal requests, contract preparation, project coordination, and project-management responsibilities.
- Assist with tracking project budgets.
- Communicate regularly with project teams, clients, peers, and agencies.
- Participate in limited client-management and marketing responsibilities as experience grows.
