Requirements

A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or an equivalent field.
8-10 years of hands on experience in land development design within Alberta and familiarity with municipal processes.
Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Strong analytical and technical skills, with proficiency in Excel for design calculations.
Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliably insured vehicle.
Comfortable working collaboratively with engineers and interdisciplinary project teams.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with platforms like ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Procore, or SharePoint is an asset.
A strong commitment to continuous learning.
Experience in field or construction environments is an asset.
Creative problem solver with exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Develop and refine engineering and construction drawings for a variety of land development projects.
Create plans, profiles, and detailed 3D civil models using Civil 3D.
Interpret and integrate municipal and regulatory standards into design solutions.
Prepare supporting technical documents, reports, spreadsheets, and presentation ready tables.
Produce, modify, and quality check design drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Support construction activities through site reviews and coordination with contractors.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Contribute to environmentally responsible project planning through thoughtful design approaches.
