About The Position

Kleinfelder is looking for a detail-oriented Civil Engineering Senior Project Manager to join our expanding southeast engineering team. With growing opportunities in the region and a variety of clients, the ideal candidate will join our high achieving, fast-paced team. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team are valued attributes for this position. The project work will be multi-disciplinary in nature, but experience in traditional industrial/commercial land development, renewables, utility infrastructure, and/or mining is especially relevant. This is a hybrid office role and can be based in: Raleigh, NC Charlotte, NC

Requirements

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE)
Experience in leading multi-disciplinary design, permitting and construction as a consultant
Ability to actively develop and maintain client relationships
Capability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
Understanding of financial management of projects
10+ years of related experience

Nice To Haves

Experience in traditional industrial/commercial land development, renewables, utility infrastructure, and/or mining is especially relevant.

Responsibilities

Ability to target and generate new opportunities
Managing project execution including proposal development, project organization, subcontractor management, scheduling, financial management, health and safety stewardship, and delivery quality
Overseeing pursuits, designate the appropriate resources to projects, define client needs, address client concerns and suggest solutions to solve project challenges
Leading technical, cost, and scheduling decisions for interdisciplinary teams and driving customer value
Nurturing and growing client relationships
Supporting the achievement of professional staffs’ career goals
