About The Position

Staffinity is currently seeking a Senior CI/CD & DevOps Solution Engineer for a premier corporate client located in Halifax. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and comprehensive enterprise benefits package. The base salary range is 100-120k + benefits, RRSP matching, vacation and personal days. This is a hybrid position, up to 3 days per week in office. Our client is executing massive infrastructure modernization and migration initiatives across its enterprise landscape. Rather than traditional operations maintenance, this position is focused on working directly with technical application teams to architect, troubleshoot, configure, and execute pipeline migrations from legacy platforms over to modern cloud-native environments. Ideal Candidate Profile: We are looking for a hands-on technical solutions engineer who loves debugging complex pipelines, writing automation configurations from scratch, and managing infrastructure-as-code. You should be a strong communicator who can drop into varied code bases, solve technical bottlenecks, and comfortably navigate both containerized environments and traditional build systems.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Diploma in IT, or equivalent technical experience.
5+ years of rigorous hands-on experience designing, debugging, and maintaining enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines.
Deep practical understanding of project types and build tools, specifically including Maven, NPM, PyPi, .NET, and MSBuild.
Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins (Declarative, Multibranch, and Maven pipelines) alongside advanced GitHub Actions execution.
Confident technical execution using Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes environments.
Strong background leveraging scripting languages (Groovy, Shell, or Python) to automate tasks, combined with experience in Agile tooling (Jira or ServiceNow).

Responsibilities

Support and guide application teams migrating from legacy build platforms (Jenkins, RLM, or manual workflows) to modern GitHub Actions ecosystems.
Design, build, and debug complex CI/CD pipeline stages, settings, and workflows from the ground up, including custom GitHub Actions workflows and self-hosted runners.
Write project configuration files (such as Maven POM and Settings files) from scratch across diverse and disparate codebases.
Deploy and troubleshoot containerized workloads within Docker and complex Kubernetes clusters (managing namespaces, pods, PV/PVCs, Helm charts, and kubectl deployments).
Implement automated system configurations and infrastructure deployments using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Artifactory, and UrbanCode Deploy.
Configure and utilize code quality platforms (SonarQube) to automate guardrails directly into active deployment workflows.
