About The Position

SSOE is looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join their team. This role will support local clients and virtually support project teams in other locations. The individual will lead projects from inception through construction, developing PFD’s, P&ID’s, process calculations, equipment selection and specifications. Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering, which qualifies for licensure in the state of practice.
  • Professional Engineering Licensure (PE) or tracked to becoming PE.
  • 10+ years of working experience required.
  • Exposure to chemical plants, metals processing, food, beverage or consumer product plants, and/or other related industrial settings strongly preferred.
  • Experience with a chemical simulation program, such as ChemCAD or Aspen.
  • Ability to work in a client-facing role while partnering with contractors and vendors.
  • Experience with building codes and chemical storage requirements.
  • Experience with utility system equipment and distribution systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Dust Collection or experience with Dust Hazard Analysis is a plus.
  • Product Packaging experience is a plus.
  • Experience using Pipe Flo or AFT Fathom a plus.
  • Experience with industrial wastewater treatment a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Leading engineering studies, write reports, develop and complete engineering calculations.
  • Perform or assist with the development of PFDs and P&IDs, process calculations, equipment specifications, and procurement.
  • Provide engineering oversite and checking of process deliverables.
  • Coordinate with multi-discipline engineering and design teams to complete necessary project tasks.
  • Assist in the creation of bid packages.
  • Perform field work to support the above responsibilities.
