About The Position

We are searching for a passionate, hands-on Sr. Center Manager to lead the charge with a collaborative approach, delivering unforgettable experiences for pets and their families. Best Friends Pet Care is the go-to destination for pet care, with over 80 locations in twenty-six states and 30 years in business.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of management experience overseeing a team of 10+ employees (required).
  • Hands-on animal care experience and a deep understanding of animal behavior, health, and welfare practices.
  • A proactive, organized, and adaptable mindset in a bustling environment.
  • Stellar communication skills and a proven ability to inspire, motivate, and lead.
  • Financial management expertise, including payroll, budgets, and expense control.
  • Must be able to lift large dogs.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Business Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Desire to continue education and training with a dynamic pet care organization.

Responsibilities

  • Be the trusted leader for our furry guests and their people, ensuring pets feel safe, cared for, and loved.
  • Oversee daily care routines like feeding, medicating, grooming, exercise, and playtime.
  • Keep meticulous records to guarantee each pet’s health and behavior is closely monitored.
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain a best-in-class boarding facility.
  • Handle emergencies in collaboration with your District Manager.
  • Stay ahead of regulations and ensure every corner of the facility meets or exceeds Best Friends Pet Care standards.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of 10+ dedicated animal care professionals in a positive work culture that celebrates open communication.
  • Effectively serve as a liaison between frontline team members and headquarters staff.
  • Build schedules that balance excellence in pet care with budget efficiency.

  • Deliver exceptional service that leaves pet parents raving about their experience.
  • Build lasting client relationships that foster loyalty, referrals, and a sense of community.

  • Manage inventory and coordinate purchasing to ensure supplies are always stocked.
  • Collaborate with a creative marketing team to elevate community outreach, and partnerships to promote services and boost visibility.
