Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field preferred.
4–10 years of experience in cash posting or cash handling within mortgage servicing or commercial banking.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Proven ability to manage high-volume, detail-oriented tasks under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Ensure accurate and timely processing of customer payments, payoffs, and exception transactions.
Monitor and reconcile suspense accounts in accordance with servicing guidelines.
Process complex transactions including reversals, NSF reimbursements, and loan modification cash adjustments.
Perform daily cash and system batch balancing; research and resolve payment clearing exceptions.
Collaborate with internal departments and senior leadership to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
Serve as a team lead when needed, mentoring and training team members to ensure consistent performance and adherence to procedures.
Assist the supervisor with workflow management and special projects.
Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Overtime may be required, including evenings and weekends.
