About The Position

Senior Helpers of Henderson is seeking compassionate, dependable Caregivers to join their growing team and help seniors remain safe, comfortable, and engaged in the place they call home. They are looking for individuals with a genuine desire to help others, and they welcome veterans and individuals from all backgrounds. Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable vehicle with current registration and insurance
  • Willingness to transport clients when needed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to assist with lifting, bending, standing, and mobility support
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of state and federal background checks
  • Pre-employment drug screening
  • Current TB screening and physical examination prior to employment (assistance available)
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain—we can help)
  • Two professional and two personal references

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Caregiver, Personal Care Aide (PCA), Home Health Aide (HHA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or similar role
  • Experience working with seniors, dementia care, or individuals requiring assistance with activities of daily living
  • Compassionate, dependable, patient, and committed to treating every client with dignity and respect

Responsibilities

  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Engaging clients in conversation, hobbies, games, and activities
  • Assisting with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
  • Assisting with mobility, walking, and transfers
  • Meal planning and preparation
  • Light housekeeping and laundry
  • Medication reminders
  • Errands
  • Transportation to appointments, errands, and social activities
  • Supporting clients recovering from illness, hospitalization, or living with chronic conditions such as dementia
