About The Position

As a Senior Capital Stress Testing Program Analyst, you'll play a key role in helping Banner Bank assess risk, strengthen financial resilience, and support strategic decision-making. This position offers the opportunity to partner with leaders across Finance, Risk, and business lines to develop and enhance enterprise stress testing programs while delivering meaningful insights to senior management, regulators, and the Board of Directors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Business, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 4+ years of experience in financial services or banking within a commercial banking organization or top-tier management consulting firm.

  • Experience with enterprise-wide stress testing, Basel III capital planning, and model risk management.
  • Experience with quantitative analysis, modeling, or strategic analytics within the financial services industry.
  • Experience with financial reporting software, ALM software, BancWare, database applications, or R Studio.
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise-wide stress testing processes, including forecasting loan and deposit balances and pre-provision net revenue.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to quickly build partnerships, credibility, and trust with stakeholders across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong data analysis, financial analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success working with cross-functional stakeholders and navigating complex initiatives.
  • Strong technical writing skills and ability to translate complex concepts into meaningful business insights.
  • Understanding of federal and state laws and regulations related to accounting, financial reporting, and stress testing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain stress testing processes, methodologies, and documentation for the Annual Enterprise-Wide Stress Test and quarterly loan-level stress testing.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources supporting enterprise stress testing initiatives.
  • Prepare analyses, forecasting models, and presentation materials for the Capital Stress Test Committee and Loan Portfolio Stress Test Committee.
  • Develop analytical tools that support forecasting of loan and deposit balances, income statement items, and balance sheet impacts under stress scenarios.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, program enhancements, and strategic alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide thought leadership and analytical support for operational and integration activities related to acquisitions and other enterprise initiatives.
  • Apply structured project management methodologies to Finance, Risk, and enterprise-wide programs.
  • Develop and execute project plans, status reports, and leadership updates.
  • Monitor regulatory requirements and industry practices related to stress testing, capital planning, and financial reporting.
  • Perform gap analyses of policies, processes, and technology capabilities and recommend improvements.
  • Manage the reporting and resolution of issues, risks, and dependencies while proactively driving mitigation plans and action items.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, security requirements, and applicable government regulations.
