About The Position

The Senior Capital Engineering Project Manager provides engineering project management and technical services to support manufacturing facilities. This role involves developing and implementing capital projects, leading teams and contractors, and planning for the future, with a constant focus on safety, food safety, quality, and the environment. The position offers the opportunity to own high-impact work, leading an annual capital portfolio up to $20MM, shaping major investments from concept through start-up. Projects will directly influence safety, food safety, quality, environmental performance, and business growth. The role requires partnering across all levels, from plant teams to executives, and bringing cross-functional groups to alignment through strong facilitation and "over communication." Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
  • 10+ years of experience in a process environment including project management, process/facility design, and contractor management.
  • Proven leadership of large, complex, multi-million-dollar projects from concept through completion.
  • Strong knowledge across multiple engineering and construction disciplines, plus plant operations.
  • Ability to build and lead effective project teams (internal and external) to define scope and deliver results.
  • Strong analytical, scheduling, and planning skills; comfort making decisions with limited information.

  • Graduate studies in business, management, or engineering.
  • PMP certification and/or PE license.

Responsibilities

  • Lead capital engineering projects from concept through design, construction, and start-up, managing scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Manage multiple complex, multi-million-dollar projects, including budgets, resources, contractors, and external engineering partners.
  • Develop and evaluate project options, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses to support sound business decisions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and executives to align on project goals, plans, and priorities - communicating early and often.
  • Ensure all projects meet safety, food safety, quality, environmental, regulatory, and GMP standards.
  • Identify and deliver capital projects that reduce cost, improve operations, and support long-term business strategy.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range: $106,019 - $156,909 per year.
