About The Position

The Charleston, WV office of Modjeski and Masters, Inc., is seeking a Senior CADD Technician, with at least 10 years of bridge engineering drafting experience. M&M is one of the world’s Leading Bridge Engineering Firms, with a reputation for technical excellence and innovation that goes beyond current standards. Established more than 130 years ago, our firm is responsible for the design and maintenance of some of our nation’s most recognizable structures. Services include fixed and movable bridge design, inspection and rehabilitation, and all facets of life-cycle maintenance, research, and code development. The National Bridge Group within M&M focuses on complex and long span bridge design and rehabilitation nationally and internationally.

Requirements

CADD Technician with a minimum of 10 years of bridge engineering drafting experience.
Knowledge of MicoStation drafting software
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and other team members
Ability to effectively receive and convey ideas and information with co-workers and other team members
Ability to acquire new knowledge and skills relevant to assignments.
Ability to provide technical and work process training, direction, or guidance to other drafting staff.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree in engineering Drafting and Design
WVDOH bridge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Establishes and manage CADD work, plans, and special assignments.
Train and mentor less experienced staff and technicians.
Lead development of project plan deliverables for transportation projects such as bridges and highways.
Create original drawings and designs; layout complete plan sets independently.
Coordinate drafting efforts for multiple concurrent projects.
Calculate quantities, including reinforcement, with limited direction.
Review the work of other drafting staff to ensure satisfactory completion, correct representation, and adherence to the WVDOH’s standards.
Acquire and apply new knowledge to assignments and tasks.
Maintain technically current methodologies.
Perform additional tasks, assignment, duties, assigned.
