We are actively seeking to hire highly skilled professionals to meet our growing demand and join our expanding team(s). We currently have an opening for Senior Buyer in our Gowanda Electronics facility, located in Gowanda, NY. This position is critical to the success of iNRCORE Group and will be supporting purchasing activities to maintain adequate inventory levels, placing purchase orders for goods and materials, and ensuring timely delivery to meet production schedules, reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager. The ideal candidate for this position should be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing purchasing tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. They should have experience working with vendors, negotiating pricing and delivery terms, and using ERP systems for procurement and inventory management. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with engineering, operations, and suppliers are essential. The position of Senior Buyer will be responsible for acquiring materials, supplies, and services, placing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate purchasing records. During the course of a standard workday, you will be expected to coordinate purchasing activities with other departments, monitor inventory levels, and ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards. This role serves as a subject matter expert in procurement, leads complex sourcing and supplier management activities, and drives cost reduction and process improvement initiatives across the organization.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 4+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and basic math.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interaction with vendors and internal teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Advanced negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Place purchase orders for goods and materials with standard and strategically negotiated costs and quoted discounts.
  • Coordinate purchasing activities with engineering and operations to maintain inventory at planned levels and support production goals.
  • Review opportunities for new material supply sources and lead vendor identification, evaluation, and qualification efforts.
  • Negotiate with vendors to obtain optimal pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Evaluate vendor quotes and services to ensure compatibility with company objectives.
  • Monitor quality of goods by reviewing costs, schedules, timeliness of delivery, and conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain purchasing records and enter accurate information into ERP systems.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new vendors.
  • Analyze purchasing data and market trends to identify cost savings opportunities and mitigate supply risks.
  • Lead resolution of complex issues related to pricing, delivery delays, and quality concerns with vendors.
  • Develop, track, and manage vendor performance metrics; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and support long-term procurement planning.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve procurement processes, inventory strategies, and overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to Buyer I and Buyer II team members.
  • Assist with resolving invoice discrepancies and support Accounts Payable as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
