About The Position

This role involves managing core and warranty issues and programs, initiating stock transport orders, and determining customer enrollment in special programs with external vendors. The Senior Buyer/Planner will confirm correct pricing per contract, negotiate timely product delivery, and assist in training co-workers on applicable systems and supplier programs. There is potential for end-to-end ownership of assigned programs, processes, or areas, as well as training and mentoring less-experienced employees. The role may also involve coordinating with buyers and external vendors on contractual and supply issues, and providing occasional leadership support and coverage for management.

Requirements

  • Senior Buyer/Planner experience
  • Ability to handle core and warranty issues and programs
  • Proficiency in initiating stock transport orders
  • Skill in contacting external vendors to determine customer enrollment in special programs, including warranty
  • Ability to confirm external vendor is charging correct price per contract
  • Negotiation skills for timely delivery of product
  • Willingness to assist in training co-workers on applicable systems and supplier programs
