About The Position

Verathon® is looking for a Senior Buyer-Planner to become the newest member of our Operations located in Bothell, WA. In this role, you will perform a variety of purchasing assignments, to ensure we achieve our corporate goals relating to raw inventory availability, supplier costs, on-time delivery and quality. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred
8+ years of purchasing experience
Experience purchasing & planning electrical, electro-mechanical and mechanical components
Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers
Experience in supply planning and/or experience managing subcontract PO’s
Demonstrated ability to prepare and present information
Ability to create partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Understanding of S & OP process
Understanding of MRP systems, bill of materials, engineering change order processes
Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. Epicor experience a plus
Travel up to 10% of the time is required

Nice To Haves

APICS and ISM Certifications are preferred

Responsibilities

Own the end to end supply chain and supplier relationship for assigned commodities
Evaluate supplier capacity required to support customer demand
Analyze demand and place purchase orders for materials and ensure supplier commitments are met
Manage assigned inventory within predefined Min/Max levels and countermeasure as needed
Ensure the third party logistics facility achieves the required inventory level
Negotiates with suppliers to mitigate potential delivery issues
Analyze supplier responses and make recommendations to business when there are constraints
Manage NPI transitions to production
Participate in Supplier Business Review meetings
Closely monitor supplier OTD and escalate as needed
Escalate EOL/LTB decisions and associated supplier negotiations (e.g. pricing, lead-time)
Collaborate with A/P team members to promptly reconcile PO/invoice discrepancies
Work with MRB team to process RTV’s in a timely fashion
Respond to and update ECR’s and ECO’s as needed
Purchasing lead for annual regulatory audits (e.g. FDA, TUV, ISO)
Identify potential supply chain risks and offers creative solutions
Partners with Sourcing on special projects
Other duties as assigned
