About The Position

As a senior business systems analyst supporting the Anaplan Center of Excellence (COE), you will play a critical role in enabling planning, forecasting, and decision-making processes across Starbucks. This position serves as a trusted partner between Finance and Technology teams to ensure planning systems effectively support evolving business needs. You will help drive system improvements, support enterprise planning cycles, gather and document requirements, coordinate testing efforts, provide end-user support, and contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes and system capabilities. This role offers the opportunity to develop deep expertise in enterprise planning processes and the Anaplan platform while partnering with stakeholders across Finance, Technology, and business functions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience supporting business systems, business process analysis, requirements gathering, testing, implementation, and end-user support.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and influence outcomes without direct authority.
  • Experience coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT), validating system changes, and supporting production issue resolution.
  • Anaplan experience and/or Anaplan Model Builder certification preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, manage competing deadlines, and adapt in a dynamic business environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting financial planning or other enterprise planning processes preferred.
  • Preferred experience in Anaplan, Oracle, HFM, SAP or other enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Finance and Technology stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate needs into scalable system solutions and enhancements that support planning and forecasting activities.
  • Support enterprise planning applications by triaging incidents, coordinating issue resolution, performing testing, and helping ensure reliable system functionality during critical planning and forecasting cycles.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to investigate data discrepancies, support integration troubleshooting, and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of planning data.
  • Develop and maintain business process documentation, training materials, and user support resources while driving adoption of new capabilities, change management efforts, and self-service solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve user experiences, and enhance operational efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives.
