About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to support, optimize, and enhance enterprise ERP Finance applications for a large public sector organization. This role is ideal for a seasoned analyst with deep expertise in financial systems, business process improvement, ERP implementations, upgrades, and production support. Candidates with hands-on experience supporting Tyler Munis ERP are highly preferred. However, professionals with extensive experience supporting other enterprise ERP financial systems, such as Oracle, SAP, Workday, PeopleSoft, Microsoft Dynamics, or Infor, are encouraged to apply. This is a hybrid contract opportunity supporting a collaborative IT and Finance environment where you will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and software vendors to improve financial operations and deliver successful ERP initiatives.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Business Systems Analyst experience supporting ERP Finance applications.
  • Strong understanding of financial business processes and accounting principles.
  • Experience supporting multiple Finance modules, including: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Budgeting, Purchasing, Fixed Assets, Cash Receipting, Project Accounting, Grant Accounting
  • Experience gathering business requirements and documenting functional solutions.
  • Experience with ERP configuration, implementation, upgrades, and testing.
  • Strong experience creating: Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional specifications, Process flow documentation, Training documentation, Test scripts and UAT documentation
  • Strong SQL skills for reporting and data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Tyler Munis ERP Finance.
  • Public sector experience supporting city, county, or municipal government organizations.
  • Experience with SSRS, Power BI, or similar reporting platforms.
  • Experience leading ERP modernization or business process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional ERP solutions.
  • Partner with Finance and IT stakeholders to identify process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Configure, test, implement, and support ERP Finance modules.
  • Lead functional activities for ERP upgrades, patches, enhancements, and workflow improvements.
  • Create business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flows, and training materials.
  • Develop and execute unit, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate resolutions with software vendors and internal technical teams.
  • Participate in project planning, implementation activities, and vendor coordination.
  • Support end users by providing functional expertise, documentation, and training.
  • Perform data analysis and reporting using SQL, with exposure to reporting tools such as SSRS or Power BI preferred.
