Senior Business Systems Analyst - Asset Reliability

About The Position

This position offers an opportunity to partner closely with the Refining organization to develop and deliver IT solutions aligned with strategic reliability objectives. The role plays a key part in translating business needs into practical, scalable solutions that support Reliability related work processes while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and technology direction. The role supports research, scoping, design, and enhancement of systems and processes that enable safer, more reliable, and more efficient operations. By working directly with the Strategic Reliability team, subject matter experts and other business stakeholders, this position helps ensure solutions are reliable, value added, and fit for real-world use by both corporate and sites, ultimately improving how reliability is monitored and executed. The successful candidate will join a cross-functional team delivering solutions with varying levels of business definition, maturity, and sponsorship. This role requires the ability to understand end-to-end processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and collaborate across IT and business teams to drive meaningful, sustainable change. Familiarity with Maintenance and Reliability practices, a continuous improvement mindset, and experience working in Agile delivery teams will contribute to success, along with a solid understanding of change management and the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, related field or equivalent experience
5+ years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

Owns solution outcomes from discovery through deployment and adoption, ensuring alignment to Reliability strategy and measurable business value
Defines and tracks success metrics and post-implementation value realization to confirm solutions deliver intended reliability and operational outcomes
Partners with business stakeholders on change management and adoption to ensure solutions are embedded into day-to-day Reliability and Maintenance workflows
Leads improvement recommendations and presents effectively to senior and executive management and global teams.
Presents and leads client meetings with the business and development teams.
Communicates with senior leaders for understanding and execution of cross-functional complex processes and applications to solve for client requirements.
Provides recommendations for appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.
Partners with business teams to develop ways to investigate business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
Leads and serves as a senior resource on cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
Serves as a resource to colleagues, mentors, and helps improve the team’s abilities around all IT Service Management (ITSM) disciplines deployed.
Leads the development, execution, and creation of the cross-functional testing strategy, communicating with all stakeholders for technology delivery.
Leads the planning, conducting, and documenting of user stories, and user feedback.
Effectively communicates feedback with senior leaders for technology improvement.
