About The Position

Capital One Business Travel (COBT), the booking travel platform for Small/Medium Enterprises, as part of the Premium Products and Experiences (PPX) team, is one of the fastest-growing parts of the business, having grown ~300% YoY. The platform continues to see exponential growth and has an ambition to maintain 2.5-3.5x growth over the next few years. The Strategy and Growth team is focused on driving multifaceted strategies to drive cardmember engagement and spend growth on the platform through various marketing initiatives to existing and prospective users. We are looking for a Senior Business Manager to join our team to lead and own our overall go-to-market strategy. The role will be responsible for driving the end-to-end go-to-market (GTM) strategy for COBT, setting the vision and direction across several high-impact growth initiatives. Key priorities include building a long-term marketing roadmap, standing up a robust channel strategy, and establishing always-on customer and competitor insights to continuously refine our market positioning. Additionally, this leader will oversee performance-driven marketing analytics, drive our Field strategy to deepen engagement with managed accounts, and partner closely with Business Cards & Payments (BC&P) to align cross-functional priorities. This role will serve as a people leader for a high-performing team of 3-4 managers and analysts, guiding strategic analysis, cross-functional execution, and career development. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 3 years of experience performing quantitative analysis
  • At least 3 years of experience performing qualitative analysis
  • At least 1 year of experience performing people management
  • At least 1 year of experience performing project management

Responsibilities

  • Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory behavior
  • Have an ownership mindset, and potentially P&L accountability for a business segment. Strategic planning with a 1-6 month horizon
  • May manage and develop a team of analysts. Coaching and mentoring associates throughout the organization with a goal of developing and retaining talent at Capital One
  • Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products; lead product level modeling/analytics
  • Lead direct to consumer marketing efforts for select products, and strategic intent for products distributed through various channels. Build targeted insights to inform the design and development of new customer experiences, as well as breakthrough technology and concepts designed to deliver on new go-to-market strategies
  • Drive step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis
  • Coordinate across the line of business to manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements and execute against the product strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently
  • Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including: IT, Sales, Operations, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability
