Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience required
  • 7 years of Commercial Lending experience preferred
  • Proven track record of originating and managing a commercial loan portfolio
  • Strong credit analysis skills including financial statement interpretation and cash flow analysis
  • Deep knowledge of commercial credit structures, loan documentation and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills

Responsibilities

  • Builds, develops, and maintains profitable lending, deposit, and business services relationships with new and existing members
  • Gathers and analyzes financial statements for determination of credit quality, loan structure, and appropriate approval.
  • Proactively and efficiently manages a portfolio of diverse businesses, including large and complex credits in a wide range of industries and sectors
  • Conduct regular business member calls, annual reviews and site visits at their place of business in order to understand their business practices, cash flow, and financial goals
  • Manage assigned portfolio of businesses, ensuring ongoing performance monitoring including loan covenant compliance, risk identification and relationship growth; manage delinquent, or otherwise, deteriorating business loans with a consideration of legal recourse
  • Maintain an active presence in the local business community through events, associations and community development initiatives
  • Prepare and present high quality credit presentations in cooperation with Credit Analysts to Credit Committee
  • Provides exceptional member experience through dependable accuracy, meaningful business relationships and timely communication
  • Take steps to enhance membership value by actively recommending appropriate products and services to members, based upon their financial needs and goals and referring those opportunities to the appropriate team member or department
  • Provides portfolio management expertise and mentorship to support Business Loan Officers
  • Supports department projects and initiatives as assigned
