About The Position

Responsible for structuring, approving and managing the credit union's small business loan activity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Economics.
  • Minimum of five years experience in all aspects of business and commercial lending with good working knowledge of regulations and legal issues associated with business lending.
  • Experience in credit analysis with an emphasis on financial statement analysis.
  • Minimum of three years experience in all aspects of business and commercial lending with a good knowledge of regulations and legal issues associated with business lending.
  • Experience in credit analysis with an emphasis on financial statement analysis.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, tax returns and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries or issues from members, regulatory agencies or business community participants.
  • PC proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reviewing, approving or declining loan that are processed through the business loan origination system.
  • Manage small business loan portfolio to include, delinquencies, renewals, modifications and loan covenants compliance.
  • Monitoring should include the proper management of risk ratings and early identification of potential problems.
  • Responsible for developing lending policies, guidelines and procedures related to the small business loan origination system.
  • Ensure compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures applicable to small business lending and related credit union activities.
  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the business loan origination system to include system upgrades and daily system functionality.
  • Responsible for management and control of all SBA lending activities.
  • Supervise and train Business Lending Officer.
  • Responsible for the preparation and input of financial information for commercial credits.
  • Analysis to include balance sheets, income statements and cash flow.
  • Review and evaluated credit applications for completeness and compliance with policy.
  • Maintain high degree of technical understanding with respect to business credit processing, including software requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
