About The Position

Reporting to the Business Intelligence Principal, the Senior Business Intelligence Engineer solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer describes the tools, technologies, applications and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable business information. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of technical experience in analytics OR a Master's Degree and at least 1 year of experience
  • Intermediate python/pyspark experience in Databricks
  • Experience designing data models, taxonomies, or schemas, versioning and conflict/precedence rules
  • Intermediate Power BI + Power Apps, including DAX, semantic modeling, and performance tuning
  • Experience with front-end UI development with TypeScript (Angular or React) or Python (Streamlit, Dash, etc.)
  • Must be willing to remain in this position for a period of twelve (12) months before applying to other Humana opportunities.

Nice To Haves

  • Full-stack development experience connecting front-end applications to back-end data stores
  • Intermediate Power Automate experience
  • UX and information architecture judgment for dense, expert-user applications
  • Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data
