About The Position

This role focuses on designing and delivering high-visibility executive dashboards and architecting enterprise-grade Power BI semantic models. The ideal candidate will translate business questions into clear KPIs, ensure reports are intuitive and decision-oriented, and proactively surface trends, risks, and opportunities. Responsibilities include defining metric standards, optimizing data models for performance and scalability, and establishing best practices for DAX and Power BI architecture. The role also involves collaborating with data engineering teams to improve data quality and reliability, ensuring the accuracy and trustworthiness of executive reporting, and implementing governance around Power BI datasets and workspaces. Additionally, the position requires acting as a thought leader for analytics best practices, mentoring other analysts and BI developers, and influencing stakeholders without formal authority.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data architecture roles
Deep, hands-on expertise with Power BI (semantic models, DAX, Power Query, service architecture)
Proven experience delivering executive-level dashboards and reporting
Strong data modeling skills (star schema Power BI semantic models)
Experience working with multiple enterprise data sources
Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to non-technical audiences

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting C-suite, board, or VP-level reporting
Background in enterprise analytics environments with shared semantic models
Familiarity with Azure data services (e.g., Snowflake, Fabric, Data Factory) or similar cloud platforms
Experience defining BI standards, governance models, and reporting frameworks

Responsibilities

Design and deliver high-visibility executive dashboards for C-suite and senior leadership audiences
Translate ambiguous business questions into clear KPIs, metrics, and visual narratives
Ensure reports are concise, intuitive, and decision-oriented
Proactively surface trends, risks, and opportunities relevant to leadership priorities
Architect enterprise-grade Power BI semantic models that support consistent metrics across reports
Define and enforce metric definitions, calculation logic, and dimensional standards
Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and reusability
Establish best practices for DAX, model relationships, aggregations, and row-level security
Integrate data from multiple sources (e.g., ERP, CRM, finance, operations, cloud platforms, flat files, APIs)
Partner with data engineering teams to improve data quality, reliability, and availability
Help define upstream data structures to better support downstream analytics and executive use cases
Ensure executive reporting is accurate, auditable, and trusted
Implement governance around datasets, workspaces, access, and certification in Power BI
Balance agility with control in a fast-moving executive reporting environment
Act as a thought leader for analytics best practices across the organization
Mentor analysts and BI developers on modeling, visualization, and storytelling
Influence stakeholders without formal authority through clarity, credibility, and results
