About The Position

SafetyChain Software is looking for a Senior Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Sales team. This is a senior/tenured position within our BDR team. In addition to core pipeline generation, this person will take on an informal team lead role, surfacing team progress and blockers to the BDR Manager, helping keep the broader team aligned, while still carrying a full individual quota. We're building a team that operates at the cutting edge, our BDRs are expected to actively use AI tools to research accounts, build better outreach, and find creative ways to generate pipeline faster. Requirements

  • 2+ years of BDR/SDR or equivalent sales development experience, with a demonstrated track record of hitting or exceeding quota, preferably within the B2B/Saas or enterprise software industry.
  • Comfortable taking on informal leadership responsibilities — communicating team progress to management and supporting teammates without formal authority.
  • Willing to experiment with new tools and approaches to find what generates pipeline.
  • Comfortable experimenting with AI tools to improve outreach quality and efficiency.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills—you can keep moving even when managing a high volume of leads.
  • Self-starter who’s motivated to succeed in sales and open to feedback along the way.
  • Communicate clearly, listen actively, and can build rapport with all kinds of people.
  • Comfortable learning and using tools like Sales Navigator, HubSpot, and other tools.
  • Natural problem solver who stays proactive and focuses on results.
  • Eager to learn, grow, multi-task, and take on new challenges.

  • Experience informally leading, mentoring, or supporting peers is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Qualify prospects, nurture early interest, and set high-quality appointments for our Account Executives.
  • Act as a point of contact between the BDR team and BDR Manager, surfacing activity trends, blockers, and wins.
