Job Description: This individual contributor role falls within the Resource Planning unit within Consumer Client Services. The Sr. Business Control Specialist will work closely with the Line of Business and Control Function partners to gather information on high-risk business process details including process maps, controls, metrics, control plans, and risk level.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of business controls experience and/or LOB business control function
  • Ability to accurately analyze data/processes and create professional, clear, and concise presentation documents, including process maps, that identify key issues/controls, identify process/control gaps. and provide meaningful information to satisfy regulatory requirement
  • Ability to influence LOB's to facilitate accurate and complete representations of the process and control environment.
  • Ability to challenge in a firm but non-confrontational manner
  • Excellent organizational & multi-tasking skills to address variety of ad-hoc requests and issues as they arise.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and produce accurate and complete analysis
  • Ability to deal and communicate at all levels within the organization
  • Detailed understanding of operations support processes, procedures, controls, and practices
  • Strong risk mindset with process and controls background; ability to actively debate and escalate issues and concerns
  • Builds strong partnerships and collaborates effectively with business, risk, and technology partners
  • Strong MS Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint and PowerPoint skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of Business Controls experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to present key messages, recommendations and information in a clear, concise manner
  • Experience with Issue or Project Management

Responsibilities

  • Review, monitor and support Audit Issues, Risk Assessment(s), Independent Testing results, and Internal Audit and Exams for potential impacts to business segments.
  • Coordinate with business segments and project teams to ensure Operational Readiness for adoption of technology changes, including procedures, training, and communications.
  • Have a good working knowledge of Contact Center operations, general bank policies, programs and procedures, and client communications.
  • Direct interaction with sub-process stakeholders and Process Owners in support of the assessment process, quality assurance activities, engagement requirements, and timelines.
  • Facilitate review sessions for accuracy and completeness of process documentation and identify connection points and gaps between processes and be able to have an end-to-end process perspective including all associated risks.
  • Coordinate and enter process metrics and control information into systems of record on a recurring basis.
  • Manage process performance scorecard for executive presentations.
  • Facilitate enterprise-wide review of high-risk processes and coordinate sub-process performance reporting with sub-process owners.
