FinTrust Connect has partnered with a well-capitalized regional financial institution to identify top talent for a Senior Business Banking Relationship Manager opportunity in Lakewood Ranch. This is an opportunity for a proven business development professional who can build and expand relationships from the ground up, manage complex small business banking needs, and serve as a trusted financial partner to growth-oriented companies. This role is focused on winning new business, deepening commercial relationships, structuring credit solutions, and cross-selling a full suite of banking products to small to midsized businesses. The position is ideal for a senior banker who thrives in pure business development and relationship expansion.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in business banking, commercial banking, or relationship management
- Strong knowledge of cash flow analysis, business credit underwriting, and loan structuring
- Experience developing new business relationships within the small to midsized business segment
- Ability to manage complex commercial relationships and recommend appropriate loan and deposit solutions
- Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated business acumen across a range of industries, markets, and economic conditions
- Ability to work cross-functionally with credit, underwriting, treasury, and internal banking partners
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and pipeline management practices
- Established ability to generate business without relying on an inherited portfolio

Responsibilities
- Develop and grow a portfolio of small to midsized business clients through direct business development activity
- Make retention and prospecting calls to existing and prospective customers
- Build and maintain an active pipeline of opportunities and centers of influence
- Interview applicants, gather required documentation, and recommend appropriate lending solutions
- Structure credit requests and submit complete packages for underwriting and approval
- Review loan documentation for completeness and accuracy in accordance with approved terms
- Coordinate and attend loan closings
- Identify cross-sell opportunities across deposits, treasury services, credit, and other bank products
- Act as a financial advisor by educating clients on business banking strategies, credit needs, market conditions, and related financial solutions
- Monitor client activity, market trends, and evolving business needs to uncover additional opportunities
- Collaborate closely with internal departments to deliver a high-quality client experience and help close new relationships efficiently
- Contribute to regional growth initiatives and support broader market development efforts
