About The Position

As a senior business architecture advisor with the Business Architecture Processes, Practices and Shared Capacities Department, you will directly support two rapidly transforming executive divisions: the Life and Health Insurance (LHI) Executive Division and the Wealth Management (WM) Executive Division. You help implement business strategies and develop business solutions for various cross-sector WM/LHI and Desjardins Group initiatives, particularly in the areas of data, digital solutions, platforms and shared capacities. You lead, influence and collaborate with practitioners (promoters, business lines, enterprise architecture) on highly innovative, complex strategic transformation initiatives involving multiple sectors. Your initiatives require extensive, in-depth knowledge of your field of expertise (cross-sector capacities, data, digital solutions). You make recommendations on the transformation and execution of projects and initiatives with a very high degree of operational and conceptual complexity. You use your analytical skills and comprehensive, in-depth understanding of your line of business and the organization. Coordination is critical. You interact with a very large number of stakeholders working in a wide range of fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. You serve as an expert advisor and subject matter expert, as well as a resource person for senior management and decision-making bodies. This requires the ability to communicate concisely with senior leadership and deliver impactful messages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Experience with advisory or large-scale projects
  • Experience presenting to executives
  • Experience in an influential role
  • Knowledge of business architecture
  • Knowledge of LHI and/or WM business areas
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture, data management or digital transformation
  • Familiarity with the TOGAF, BIZBOK and BABOK bodies of knowledge
  • Interpersonal Savvy, Strategic mindset

Responsibilities

  • Be well versed in the business strategies and ensure they’re implemented consistently.
  • Assess the current situation to accurately identify findings and current issues.
  • Define, design and update target business solutions (business needs, application, processes, information, risks, data).
  • Identify initiatives to implement these changes and achieve the target and transitional requirements.
  • Analyze and monitor coordination, dependencies, prerequisites and scopes.
  • Establish and maintain the roadmap for our promoters / business lines to recommend an optimal sequence to achieve business objectives and meet needs.
  • Align business solutions with strategies to meet business and enterprise architecture needs and targets.
  • Lead and influence efforts to establish business solutions.
