This role involves working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in SDLC methodologies, particularly Waterfall, along with the ability to operate in Agile environments when needed. This position requires strong analytical thinking, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to work independently. Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within SDLC environments
  • Strong experience working in Waterfall methodology (Agile exposure is a plus)
  • 7+ years of experience in: Writing use cases and requirements documentation
  • 7+ years of experience in: Developing business and functional requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in: Business process re-engineering
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in business change management
  • Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  • Experience supporting large-scale system implementations, preferably in government or public sector environments

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and lead requirements gathering sessions with business and technical stakeholders
  • Analyze business processes, policies, and documentation to identify improvement opportunities
  • Elicit, document, and manage business, functional, and system requirements
  • Develop detailed functional specifications for development and enhancement efforts
  • Create use cases, process flows (As-Is and To-Be), and mock-ups to support requirements
  • Collaborate with development and database teams on system integration and data migration initiatives
  • Support system testing, validation, and change request processes
  • Assist in planning, prioritization, and implementation of system enhancements
  • Troubleshoot system, data, and process-related issues
  • Develop training materials and support end-user adoption
  • Perform basic SQL queries for data analysis as needed
