This is a full-time W-2 position with a salary of $125,000 to $135,000 per year. It is a hybrid work arrangement based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and the commuting cadence varies by assignment. The initial engagement is expected to be one to two days a week on site in DC. The initial engagement requires United States citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust determination.
Requirements
- 7+ years of business analysis experience on information technology (IT) programs
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong requirements elicitation, modeling, and documentation skills
- Experience with Agile delivery and backlog management
- Excellent communication with technical and business stakeholders
- Proficiency in writing, PowerPoint, and Excel
- United States citizenship
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination
Nice To Haves
- Federal information technology experience
- Financial-regulatory domain experience
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Agile Analysis certification
- Familiarity with AI-assisted analysis tooling
Responsibilities
- Leading requirements and analysis for an Agile delivery team
- Consulting with product owners, customers, key stakeholders, and end users to elicit and specify requirements
- Developing requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria, and facilitating product backlog refinement and prioritization
- Assisting product owners in defining the product scope, vision, and roadmap
- Conducting business process analysis, workflow analysis, and business process reengineering
- Providing system analysis and subject-matter expertise on issues and bugs
- Translating between the people who run the business and the people who build the systems
- Steering scope with a product owner
- Pressure-testing a design with developers
- Experimenting, failing, learning, and repeating quickly
- Owning an outcome
- Writing requirements that developers can build from without guessing
- Daily practice of user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog refinement, and prioritization
- Moving from business process reengineering to system-level analysis of issues and bugs
- Working where accuracy and auditability are not optional
- Leading product demonstrations
- Supporting the team during product demonstrations
- Helping spin up new capabilities, tools, and lines of business
